Why kids' dentistry matters
The health of baby teeth affects how the adult teeth erupt and align later. Bringing children in early helps prevent decay, reduce pain and build good oral-care habits — and gets them used to the dentist so they aren't afraid.
Our team cares for children with understanding, gently building familiarity — from check-ups, fluoride and sealants to prevent decay, through to fillings and monitoring how the adult teeth come in.

Frequently asked questions
When should my child first see a dentist?
My child is afraid of the dentist — what can I do?
Baby teeth decay — should we treat them if they fall out anyway?
What's the difference between fluoride and sealants?
Why do baby teeth matter?
Baby teeth help your child chew, speak clearly and hold space so the adult teeth come through in the right position. If they decay or are lost too early, it can affect how the adult teeth line up later.
When should my child first see a dentist?
We recommend the first visit when the first tooth appears or around age one — to check oral health, give care advice, and help the child get used to the dentist from an early age.
Fluoride and fissure sealants
Fluoride strengthens the tooth surface and lowers the chance of decay, while a sealant closes the hard-to-clean grooves of the back teeth so food and bacteria can't build up — good-value prevention.
My child is afraid of the dentist
The paediatric team uses a warm, unforced approach so children get used to it gradually and build a good experience with dental care, reducing fear long-term. Parents are welcome to stay and reassure them.
Caring for your child's teeth at home
Brush twice a day with an age-appropriate amount of fluoride toothpaste, cut back on sweets and sugary drinks between meals, and come for a check-up every 6 months to keep their teeth strong.
